The students of Florence International School, Greater Noida celebrated the harvest festival of ‘Lohri’ with festive fervor and enthusiasm to mark the reciding of winters. Little children came dressed up in colourful Punjabi attire; they tapped their feet on Punjabi folk songs around the traditional bonfire. The munching of seasonal goodies like popcorn, revri & peanuts form an integral part of the celebration. Fistfuls of these goodies also find their way into the fire, as an offering to the Sun God, the giver of all life. At the end they were also told about the significance of festival.
